HOCKEY CAMPS

Coached by England masters player, silver medalist and European champion, Suzy Clapp. Our hockey camps are open to players from ages 8-16 with all abilities welcome. These camps are designed for players to focus, develop and learn new technical skills, as well have exposure to a range of game play and tactical understanding. We try to create a positive, fun and nurturing environment to enable the players to gain in confidence both on and off the pitch.

Clapp Tap Sport one day hockey camp, coached by England Masters player, Suzy Clapp, selected captain for the 2026 World Cup!

The day will comprise of:

Bespoke groupings according to ability
Elimination skills including 3D
Passing & receiving with focus on first touch and decision making
Creating overloads such as 2v1, 3v2 scenarios
Goalscoring - including forehand, deflections, backspace, and more!
Defending - applying the four 'Ds'
Small sided games and tournament!

Goalkeeper coaching by England Masters Goalkeeper Amanda Billington will be run at the same time and location as our Easter April 10th camp.

Goalkeepers attending will then be invited to stay on for the gameplay section of the Hockey camps running parallel (Camp ends at 4pm).

What is covered in the goalkeeper sessions?

- Correct positioning

- Breakdown the basics of all save types: Clearing, Low Block, Hybrid, Smother, Diving, Logging, Getting up, Hand work

- Routines to support mental toughness

- Goalkeeper warm up routines

- Position specific fitness
